My Documented Life continues…..

Heart in my paint....

Create a pocket in your journal from an envelope in the mail....

I made two....
In fact, I am going to make one for every month because I always have receipts I need to keep track of!

Doodle border.
This is a saying I found in a darling book I found at a Used Bookstore that I loved....
I will blog about it soon!
: )

"The Documented Life" 2014 Planner : )

This project has caught my attention and my creative energy....
I stumbled upon this on the internet.
It was JUST what I was looking for.
I love planners, journals, notebooks.....I have several, too many to keep track of.
Here was an opportunity to create my own.

The process so far....

This is on old favorite journal

Loved this quote I wrote inside back in 2000....

As you can see, I was inspired back then to make my own planner....

And was gung ho for awhile.....
(still can't figure out why I had to call a plastic surgeon on the 17th?  : )

But, then the inspiration petered ...

Another treasure inside...
My son wrote his name on a napkin....
: )

And so the process begins again!!
My first bottle of Gesso!!
Here we go...

I redid the inside cover with some scrapbooking paper I had....
I am trying to use as many things that I already own as possible.
I got the letter stickers from Target for $1.00 : )
I wrote out a favorite quote from one of my favorite meditation masters.
"Bean by bean the bag gets filled."  Davidji

I designed January's calendar much like the old calendar I designed in 2000.
I figure I will change it if I want as the months pass.

I found a wall for my quote from my old book and put a tag from a place I hope to visit someday.

Crayon and Gesso...

I got the idea for the heart tabs and permission to use her idea
from a girl in
The Documented Life Project group.
Love them...

Having fun with my art supplies

Another favorite quote of mine....

I guess these pages that you attach are called "tipped in" pages?
Here is one of mine with a list that I am sure will get longer and longer.
Reminders of what to check for every day.
: )

I decided to make a recipe page with a pocket!
: )
I copied this recipe off the box and bought the ingredients...
I hope I like it now that it has a permanent place in my year!

More to come....
Hope your year is off to a great start!
Blessings to you!

Children's Art work LOVE!

LOVE the Cardinals!!!!

So cozy!!

One of the favorite parts of my job, and there are so many, is to look at the children's art work in the hallway.  The students work under the guidance of a wonderful art teacher,  Jen Hackenberg
I LOVE the work they do!
So special!
Keepsakes forever.

Plimoth Plantation-Happy Thanksgiving!!

I love a good field trip!

Plimoth Plantation with the third graders!

The only time I had a
"Calgon, take me away!"
moment was when we were mid-way on the bus ride.
You have never heard noise until you have the opportunity to experience
a 2 hour bus ride
with elementary children!
Other than that,
A wonderful day with my 2 little friends.
: )

It was an absolutely beautiful day to explore....

One of my little friends had the map and led the way while my other little friend would stop often
to see what type of plants were growing.
